West of Ireland Tennis Open Championships

The prestigious West of Ireland Tennis Open Championships take place during the May Bank holiday weekend- you are welcome to enter. This tournament sees  players from around the Country taking part, all standards are catered for. However if you do not wish to participate in the tournament, it is always well worth coming over to the club to watch the play and sampling the atmosphere. There is lots of social activity over the weekend in the bar, with good music, food and craic enjoyed by all.

Club Championships

Tennis Club championships take place during September- only members can enter. All standards catered for.

Singles Ladder

There is also a tennis single ladder league consisting of  where you are in a group with three other players, you arrange matches between you and play for points in a league format. Like a ladder you move up and down the league depending on your results. Prizes are given at the end of each ladder period. (ladder fee usually between €10 or €15). All standards are catered for including beginners.

Other competitions

There are also bank holiday and other tennis events that take place throughout the year and are usually posted on the club notice board in reception.
