Badminton Competitions
Competition is the spice of life! or so they say… and at Sligo Badminton Club, there is always challenge on court to be had. The games are always played in the best of spirit and the evenings are very social. We run a variety of competitions throughout the season, also inviting other clubs to join us occasionally.
Weekly Competitions
Short round-robin style competitions are usually organised on club nights for members and center around doubles (mens, ladies and mixed).
- Monday 9pm-11.30pm: Club Night
- Tuesday 8pm-11.30pm: Doubles/League/Mixed
- Wednesday 7pm-8pm: Novice Coaching
- Wednesday 8pm-11.30pm: Club Night
- Thursday 8pm-11.30pm: League/Doubles
- Sunday 6pm-9.30pm: League
Club Championship
There is a Badminton Club Championship for members that usually takes place in April.
Singles Ladder
A mens and ladies singles ladder runs from the Autumn through until the New Year.
Leagues
We have a number of teams who play at different grades against other clubs in the Connaught League and Nationally.
